If the previous guy hadn't traded Ryan away for Wolski, I would've been sitting pretty with those two as my core. I wish I had Hank on my team but this deal actually was a very shrewd move involving two young studs. I know darn well I didn't get enough for Toews and I should've worked on clearing out salary to keep Toews in the mix to be my #1 center and it would've made more sense to look at moving Datsyuk before I moved Toews.

I hate myself for doing this deal...I've been chasing my tail ever since looking for a #1 center and a #1 goalie. This was definitely at a time when making fast, impulsive moves were definitely the wrong way. If was as stingy about trading Datsyuk and I am about trading Jokinen now, I'd probably be better off. It's been a learning process along the way. My team isn't where I'd want it to be but I'm working on not making crucial mistakes to set me back further.
