Prospects Post Lockout
Which prospects do you see cracking their respective clubs once the lockout is over.
For my team I am completely confident that Peter Holland, Brendan Dillon, and Brenden Smith will all be skating in the national hockey league very soon.
HM goes out to guys like Keith Aulie, Brett Bulmer, Patrik Nemeth & JT Miller.

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
Jake Gardiner & Matt Frattin are locks.

100% agree with you.Nick wroteCOLONJake Gardiner & Matt Frattin are locks.
outside shot to Kyle Beach but imo he'll need more time assuming we see hockey this year that is..
Re: Prospects Post Lockout
I caught a game, he didn't look like he was demanding a spot to me, definitely looked good, but not like he was out of place in the AHL; whereas Jake has no spot in the AHL, and Matt is at least a little bit too good a shot to stay down.bills09 wroteCOLON100% agree with you.Nick wroteCOLONJake Gardiner & Matt Frattin are locks.

Conacher + DSP for sure.
Jensen and MA Bourdon both have pretty good shots too imo.

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
I would be shocked if Ryan Strome is not an nhl forward as soon as this season.anton wroteCOLONThis is my kinda thread! Unfortunately my biggest shoe-in Ryan Murray is out for probably the year ... needed his GP too....

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
Supposing the lockout ends in time to have a season this year and considering Scandella, Diaz, Emelin, Josi, Schlemko and Bonino as graduated...
Locks: Mikael Granlund, Roman Cervenka
Almost locks: Gustav Nyquist, Jonas Brodin
good chance: Tim Erixon, Tomas Tatar, Mattias Ekholm, Sami Vatanen, David Ullstrom
down the road of the season: Johan Larsson, Tomas Kundratek, Brian Dumoulin

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
Grigorenko is quickly showing that he has absolutely nothing to prove in the minors scoring at a GPG and 2 PPG pace. Alon with his size and the Sabres need for a #1 center. Not saying he's that quite yet, but can see him in the lineup.
Huberdeau is another shoe-in.
Khokhlachev has an outside chance.
Tyler Johnson is 3rd in AHL scoring, but maybe be in line at some point in the season.
Andy Miele. Maybe?

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
This year will be a lot different for me. No focus on prospects. World class goaltending. Solid D core. Mediocre forwards.

Locks: Zucker, Hartikainen, Fraser, Cole
Almost Locks: Urbom, Wellwood
Good Chance: Patrick Holland, Borowiecki (mostly due to Cowen's injury)
Cup of Coffee: Thomas, Phillips, Sgarbossa

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
Andrew Shaw if he counts.
A dozen or so games: Matt Calvert.
I don't have any prospects.

Re: Prospects Post Lockout
I have next to nothing in the way of NHL-ready prospects...they're either in or they're years away. Then again, we still haven't done the waiver draft.
Poor Brandon Davidson was diagnosed with cancer but testicular is very treatable (Kessel)...haven't seen any recent news on him.
I traded away Sheahan at a good time (glug glug glug) but it's not like Pitlick is doing much with the Barons so far.
Alex Bolduc is having a nice year in the AHL...don't know if that puts him in the Coyotes' plans at all or he's just a AAAA player.
I'm pleased with the freshman year from Riley Barber at Miami...top 15 in scoring in the nation. Kuraly has been disappointing...only 3 points in 14 games...but is going to the US WJC camp.
