6 point night for Galchenyuk. A little disappointing after last game, but still a fairly productive game.

Gosh, Reinhert and Dougie Hamiliton just take too many penalties. If this is any indication of how this tourny is going to go, there is zero chance we win gold let a lone a medal.

I know it's early, but Spott really needs to work on discipline.

I've said it here in the summer, but I really don't like Steve Spott at all...and I'm a former Rangers season ticker holder.

He seems to have a habit of putting players in situations where they're unlikely to succeed. I think a lot of guys are confused about their roles.

Let's take one of our more explosive and offensive puck rushers in Morgan Rielly, and pair him with Hamilton and Murphy where he's forced to be the anchor while those two play rover.

Down Hudon and Jenner? Let's let Nathan MacKinnon sit on the bench for the majority of the 3rd period.

What's that Jake Paterson, you didn't let in a single goal in 3 games at camp? - The bench is that way...

Ye I'm worries about our team.

Hubs & schef sucked but got every second shift.

McKinnon was epic and got benched. Not nearly enough of drouin

Dougie Hamilton with some dumb rushes that barely ever looked dangerous.

I dunno. Team does not inspire confidence

I agree, he offers a rare blend of: size, speed, and hands. It's pretty incredible to think that both he and Kuznetsov will be Capitals at some point in the future.

Forsberg is the guy i wanted at 5. Initially i wasn't happy with the Rielly pick, but he's really changed my opinion the more i watch him play.

That being said, i think Spott is miss-using him. He needs to be a big game player and paired with Hamiliton to really be effective.

Although there is nothing wrong with Hamilton shooting, I just don't love his puck-skating or transition through neutral zone.

But he has to stop the penalties.

Exactly,

Rielly paired with Murphy seems counter productive to me.

Rielly with Rienhert or Hamilton seems to make the most logical sense; then again, we are talking about Scott Spott.

Rielly is going to be paired with Tyler Wotherspoon according to Ray Ferraro.

This team lacks any sort of chemistry imo. The forward lines and D pairings are just ugly to watch. I think the Rielly and Hamilton pairing has been the worst pairing thus far and they are my two favorite Dmen on the team. I hope Spott mixes up the lines or these boys find chemistry quick or this team will be a massive let down. RNH and Mckinnon, lets see it.

Also, does anyone know how hurt Hubs is? he has been absolutely terrible so I assume his injury is the reason. It could just be two awful games but I have a feeling his injury is contributing heavily to it.

I agree, he was invisible in both pre-tournament games, which is very unusual for him.

Rielly played well when paired with Oullet.

Positives from the game included the top 2 lines, i thought both 17 year olds looked good, both PP units looked great. i loved the new level of discipline our team played, very few penalties.

Neg's include: wasn't a fan of the D pairings, i thought Subban played an OK game, i still think Binnington is a better goalie, i also wasn't a fan of Camara or Lipon. I'd hope when Jenner returns one of those 2 will be the 13th forward.

Hamilton had a bad game. Harrington saved that pairing in a BIG way IMO - and might have deserved POG - even though the nuge had big points.

Reilly moving the puck easily - looks like fowler did at WJC in 2009 - but needs to trust his skill a little more (took cam 3 games to as well).
