Assuming 48 Games - thats approximately 12 weeks. 4 Weeks for Playoffs. 8 Week regular season. 4 weeks for interdivisional play. Remaining 4 vs random conference teams. No inter-conference play then I suppose.

in a normal regular season each team has to meet gp req (1100 games), are we sticking with req this year? that should be one of the first questions to ask

if we have a 48 game season that is 58.5% of an 82 game schedule, take away 12 games (4 weeks) for playoffs.. left with roughly 36 games which is 43.9% of a normal schedule, multiply that by 1100 u get 482 games, about 60games/per week.. should be do-able for us bottom feeders

Sounds like we'll have about two weeks until we'll find out if this season is a go or not...my money is on yes but these last two weeks will be annoying to follow up to the end.

I am more curious about how we would work out the draft. Would we use the nhl lottery or? would sure change the value of 1st rounders. I hope this is a discussion that does not need to happen and the PA accepts the current offer the nhl made today. doubt it but would be nice.

Assuming same thing as the NHL for our draft.

The open lottery does add some intrigue to 1st rounders...but I'm sure it would have to be a little be weighted towards the bottom teams to win. It just allows the 17th team to have a shot at getting that #1 pick.

The other interesting thing that would affect us...rumor is that Columbus and Winnipeg may swap conferences.
