we need to know the number of weeks before making our schedule, but it will not be hard to do once that i known.

However with how tightly packed games will be, it would be nice to have a 5 day week option or something from CBS -> I wonder if we could message them? I know it would be changing roster lock days, but fairly manageable on the scale of things.

But yes, Shiv broke down the idea well. First play everyone in your div, followed by as many from your conference as we can fit. east vs west only happens in finals - and our playoffs weeks will be first priority to get square.

Lets hope we got some NHL coming back soon!

if it helps some of us made full retard trades, sending away our top prospects to get better for this year, only to potentially have no season.

Bettman said January 19 is the latest a season could start...basically under 2 weeks to get a deal done.

Even if 5-Day weeks are possible, we should stick to standard H2H weeks with roster submission on Mondays. Better to keep something that critical standard as a roster submission day on Friday for example would be bad.

But yes, 4 weeks to face division opponents and the rest within the conference. Shortened season is what it is. If a good team gets screwed out of the playoffs because of it, then so be it - same thing may happen in the real NHL (And I hope the leafs play as well as they did in the first half last year as there won't be a 2nd half to fall apart in).

i've built a pretty young team, a shortened season will hurt me forsure, but i'm completely ok with that, at least we'll have hockey!

So do we as a group feel a deal will be struck shortly? Seguin tweeted he is on his way back to Boston for good. Is that because the Spengler is o'er and his contract or can I read into it?

You should read into it. Seguin is one of many players coming back.

Also random story but a friend of mine works at CIBC and one of his clients is Brad Boyes. Long story short, Boyes was told to be ready for camp in the next couple of weeks - obviously things need to be worked out but unless the owners throw another tantrum, hockey should be starting by January 19th ish.

+1

10 minutes to decide a group doesn't want the offer clearly shows that the PA is making all the concessions :p

fuck who's wrong or right, that's not the argument I want to hear. I just want to see a season.

No choice really but to start ASAP when we know there'll be a season. Would have loved to watch some camp first but not in the cards.
