Re: Season's Back
I'm betting it's the 19th...the 15th would only happen if they get everything wrapped up in the next couple days. I thought ratification takes a few days if not a whole week. Activity probably starts up by next weekend and then a whole week of camp leading up to the season on the 19th (a Saturday). Same weekend as conference championship Sunday in the NFL. I wonder if they go heavy on games Saturday and then light slate on Sunday.

If we don't I will still buy it. Don't tell them.
Re: Season's Back
I can't afford it right now ... if it's not free I'll be watching a lot of fucking Avs hockey (dammit)
Re: Season's Back

Re: Season's Back
Outside of money from their TV deal, they're not getting money directly from me for a year. I'm getting married in May and I'm in the process of moving out of my house...I'm going to watch the NHL on my terms.
Re: Season's Back
moving to Reno mid-February so I should be getting the Sharks feed for most of the season ... will suck until then

Re: Season's Back
i think it will be there in some form. Both sides seemed to want it, to some extent at least.

Mike wroteCOLONAny possibility of cash/cap trading?
That was an early concept in negotiation but I think that idea died. They've got the compliance buyouts with no rollback in salaries. I don't know if they're linking cap to HRR.

i don't think NHL ever considered a deal without linkage, so i expect a yesI don't know if they're linking cap to HRR.
Re: Season's Back

Re: Season's Back
Considering I haven't heard anything about trading cap space, I have a feeling it was omitted.
