NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Guy isn't even the best player on his team, but now that he's hurt he's the best in the NHL.

It's cool how great Suter is doing without Weber and how shittily Weber is doing without Suter.

Lee gotta watch a game my man. Suter looks like he's in trouble as #1 - Shea looks great, points will come.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
How did I guess that you owned Weber
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Weber or not he owns him is irrelvant
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The arguement use to be that Weber made Suter... Now I guess Spurgeon made Suter?
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
LOL, I've owned Weber for a long long time, and believe he's been robbed of two Norris trophies - by the two tightest margins in the history of the trophy. My opinion of him is why I have his BBKL rights, and not vice-versa.
Since when does what the 'journalists' with a vote for NHL awards actually carry any weight? Silly thing for those who play and follow a lot of hockey to have impact their views on a player. Yet being awarded the Norris + getting hurt and it's a more common perception ? Weird to me.
They have no reference point for their awards, seemingly changing definitions for them and no responsibility to defend/answer their votes all on top of openly biased opinions in general. Looking at the list of who gets to vote, and I'm amazed anyone takes the awards seriously. But I've said all this before.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The Minnesota Wild have the tenth best GA/G in the NHL, and Suter leads their defense in TOI/G by over 4 minutes, and ranks second overall in the NHL. In what universe does that equate to Suter being in trouble? I get that you like Shea Weber, but why do you have to discredit any defenceman that is so much as mentioned in the same breath as him?Nick wroteCOLONLee gotta watch a game my man. Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I've watched two entire sota games, and Suter looked shaky (it terms of 30min/game dman) in both. I'm not trying to tell a story in reverse from the numbers, instead honestly mentioning what I saw. And ye, Suter is by miles the best dman on his team, and is a fantastic dman.
I expected Kronwall to look over-played in detroit, but he doesn't. Was concerned for both Shea & Suter their seperation would show in their play - and it does for each (Weber w/o any STPTS, Suter w/holes in D). By on a whole they are all still the same players they have been since developed - the truest statement about most players always.
Perhaps Suter is just not well suited to playing the Canucks, or I saw him on off-nights, but he was not warranting a 100M deal on either occasion; perhaps 'trouble' was an overstatement, but not warranting Norris talk like I've seen his play suggest in the past (olympics come to mind).
