Just cuz, I looked that is deal statistically...
Shiv came out quite a bit ahead in goals (almost doubled), GWG, total point and ST points. Frank wins in the peripheral categories...plus/minus, blocked shots, faceoffs, hits and SHTOI (big time). They're fairly close in assists, PIMs and shots on goal. In total (on last year's stats)...they each win 6 categories each.
I guess the big factors are what becomes of John Madden...part of the reason why I traded to Shiv in the first place. And what ultimately happens with Modano...does he sign in Detroit or with another contending team? I'd put more money on Modano playing next year than Madden so tilts this deal in Shiv's favor. If Madden signs, this ends up being a fairly even trade...Shiv adding offensively and Frank in the peripheral categories.
