Car guys?

Any of you automotive minded people know anything about stereos, VW stereos in particular? I'm looking to replace mine but am concerned about compatibility. Early 06 Jetta.

Thanks. I bought an aux cable and installed it in the back of my stock radio, but unfortunately my model (and my model only) does not have the requisite SAT button to use as AUX.

I've found one reasonably priced on eBay that's pulled from an '08 City Golf, but want to make sure it's compatible before pulling the trigger.

I had an audi (same thing as a VW)

Yoi gotta be careful, I put a in a wrong wire and it totally messed everything up. They are nice german cars but fussy with their electrical.

Tell me about it.. my key fobs (for remote unlock) have been fucked up for over a year... due to changing the battery.

I finally paid the dealership to fix it and they just fucked the keys up more - now one doesn't even work the ignition. Still opening the door manually.
