No way Kessel walks. He will sign for between 6.5-7.5M. Us signing Bozak was a big part of that. And I think he's going to have a huge season this year. 50 goals are a possibility.

Most teams haven't begun negotiating with their UFA's yet, just look at the list of impending UFA's the next time you have a chance. David Poille mentioned it earlier in the summer, and I think it bears repeating, most teams don't want to commit dollars to UFA's until they better understand the cap situation next season, and let's be honest, just because Kessel says he won't negotiate in season doesn't mean he won't if pressed. If I were a betting man I would wager that an extension is consummated at some point during the Winter Break, likewise with Phaneuf.
