i agree with this statementBlues GM wroteCOLONI've noticed trade talks go along much quicker, either getting a deal done or things falling apart. When it's a slower process and the lack of patience people have, you get more legit offers to start and it's usually only a few PM's back and forth until you figure out if the deal will get done or not. As opposed to MSN where you bicker back and forth for hours and end up with nothing.kyuss wroteCOLONyeah but when negotiations are already underway it's way slower..Blues GM wroteCOLONI much prefer PM's. You get less trade offers that way, thankfully.

I'm still in 2 other fantasy leagues with Frank. Was 3, but he quit one since he lowballed both attempts at resigning Taylor Hall and the 7 GMs who vote on trades and resigns denied both attempts so he lost him to free agency and quit haha.
I was just chatting with Steve the other day saying I remember my first trade with him where he sent terrible offers and counters continuosly so I just gave up and made a deal with him so he would quit annoying me.

I really, really like how we don't have a free agency like that lol.
Too much work put in trying to build this damn team.

Re: Columbus GM
FA bids w/o real contracts is just asking for drama. Our pure keeper format works well - new contracts force lots of moves.

Re: Columbus GM
For sure, there is always drama around submitting a contract number and having others vote approve/deny. Way too much personal opinion gets involved and no one is perfect and can project how well a player will play in the future. I find it just brings contracts down since everyone tries to lowball and you get people who want to be the "nice guy" and not upset anyone so they approve everything.Nick wroteCOLONFA bids w/o real contracts is just asking for drama. Some leagues it is a necessity since you don't want to get stuck with real life contracts for defenceman since there are no defensive stats so a player like Orpik or Schenn would be pretty useless and can be signed for league minimum rather than the 3+M they get IRL.

Would be cool to grab guys through FA that can be part of your core but there is no fair way to do it. Our keeper method makes the most sense.

Re: Columbus GM
Frank would often try to grab guys through FA that were already owned, and he'd try to add his players to make room, roster space and cap for them.
