That's the exact opposite of the Sens problem.....They have too many similar players and not enough top end talent.

This is probably the best description I've heard for the sens problem. They have a great top line and Karlsson who is super elite. The rest is all replacement players. Because of Karlsson though, they will make the playoffs. I don't put them above the leafs with their lack of scoring depth + Spezza and Michalek's propensity to miss time.

i would also love to see the leafs just embarrass the oilers. I get a lot of grief out here from oiler fans - who have no idea how good the leafs have been this year.

don't think this is true at all. I am out in alberta (cold lake/fort mac/cgy lately. Went to CGY home opener against van, paid $86 the night before game day as game didn't sell out) and due to TSN/CBC we here less about the oilers and flames combined then we do the leafs. EVVEERRYOONNE knows the leafs record, not many knew that the oilers were last in the west lol.

I cant speak for your buddies or their knowledge of hockey but Alberta in general hates the leafs. I've seen "no leaf fans" signs in both Alberta and Saskatchewan bars on a very regular basis for the past few years. Being trolled for a Leaf fan west of Manitoba is just as common as breathing. Oiler/Flames fans all chirp nucks as well but like you alluded to, they cant back up their comments lol.

My buddies are not overly knowledgeable, but I will say everyone hates leaf fans out here. I don't mind - I just point out how shitty each of their teams are.

I also always thank flame fans for dion and ask them how they like stajan. That usually shuts them up.
