his never make a trade unless you win by miles mentality has made his team pretty good though. You might disagree with the logic but the result works.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONas much as i like mik, this is the logic i dont understand.kyuss wroteCOLONoh, that wouldn't be cheap then

Never make a trade unless you like it.
Don't have to 'win' it, don't have to need it, but any time you're posting/confirming a deal you should want to do it.
I'm sure the English language is all that is holding Mik back Probably trying to say the same things as the rest of us.

back to this week (4):
Shutout loss for Jimmy Howard is hilarious, and I think the 2nd or 3rd time he has done that since I've owned him. 0GAA, 1000sv%, SO - I can handle no W.

Re: BBKL Week 4
Btw how in the fuck did you even get an italian guy into bbkl it boggles my mind
Re: BBKL Week 4
biggest mistake bbkl has made
Re: BBKL Week 4
mik types better English then I do... don't think language issue is a barrier.Nick wroteCOLONNever make a trade unless you like it.

Re: BBKL Week 4
its the "my player is better than your player because he's mine" mentality. we all have it to a degree, others are just worse. mik and nick in particular.
Re: BBKL Week 4
accuse me of what you would, there are a few GMs who I've learned you're better just saying
to rather than offering a reason or thought - but fwiw -I have zero problems making a trade.no
Re: BBKL Week 4
ill fuckin hip check the shit out of you
Re: BBKL Week 4
hahha you do still have a sig of a player you don't own. Some would consider that bad etiquette
Re: BBKL Week 4
if we're really going to get into proper bbkl etiquette, perhaps that avatar that has no relation to your team at all needs to be addressed.

I see what you did there
Re: BBKL Week 4
I was told to switch to this!
Re: BBKL Week 4
mmh, looks like i have some OT stuff to address here..
it's much more like what Nick said: "Never make a trade unless you like it."
which may sometimes translate into: "you want a player i don't want to trade, so to get him you'd have to overpay"
I guess according to bbkl logic, i should draft a goalie in the 2nd round, use a roster spot on him for yrs while waiting for him to develop, and when things go right and he's almost ready to contribute just trade him away for another 2nd?.. and maybe repeat the cycle until with that 2nd rounder i'll happen to draft someone who won't prove to have any value?
I've made more than 120 trades since joining the league, one would think other GMs would not be willing to make that many unfavourable deals..
By now, most of my players are on my team because i like them better than other GMs. That often shows up in proposals i receive or i make.
Maybe the reasoning is "my player is better because i honestly think he will indeed be better in the future" ?
wouldn't that be a legit thought.
who told you this is my logic?Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLON

i fail to understand how that can be true altogether with people calling me 'raped' more than once in some of my deals in the past.shooker wroteCOLONhis never make a trade unless you win by miles mentality has made his team pretty good though.

as said in the past, part of this matter is i seem to value players differently from most BBKLers, be it because of tastes, euro exposure or strategy.anton wroteCOLONits the "my player is better than your player because he's mine" mentality. we all have it to a degree, others are just worse. mik and nick in particular.
