Watch the interview, he was asked point blank if he would be firing his coach and he pretty much said he was going to. So this was no surprise to me.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONDave Tallon is a good GM, however he has some work to do. That dressing room sounds like it's Toxic in Florida, he needs to address some of those issues, especially with all the young talent on that roster.SuperMario wroteCOLONDale Tallon was on Prime Time Sports yesterday. It was a pretty amazing interview. Never seen a GM be this frustrated and straight up. Watch it if you can, it will be worth your time:

He's living proff a guy like Patrick Roy is good with young teams. They need someonw who's not affraid to stick up for the players and take the heat.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Yep - Dallon is wicked furious. Sounds like coach is DONE, quiet direct shorts at Steeg/Campbell/Kopy/Fliech though -> high paid veterans who aren't showing up prepared to play, following the rookies instead of leading them...
I think Markstrom's slow start is giving him fits as well - the development path of goalies is impossible to track. Touted as ready to start for years, clearly goalies is one position where waiting an extra couple of years is a sound call. Bernier was said to be ready to start since he was a rookie, and although he looks it now, this could veyr much be a product of the prolonged time as a backup - Fleury despite his physical abilities still having trouble ... always a tough discussion when it comes to player development.

How has he looked? If his mobility is coming back I might not mind the Sens taking a shot on him.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Awesome, I'm happy I traded him the same day after I got him. Didn't realize he would never have another shot in the NHL so dodged a bullet there.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Not a huge blow to my team if he (Whitney) doesn't get claimed...he's my 7th/8th D anyway with along Komisarek. Pardy getting regular playing time with the Jets with all their injuries and Murray is back to being solid periph D with Montreal.

Oilers-Bryzgalov discussions escalating. Edmonton had to move Smid money to make room for goalie.
