How do you try in win, in the BBKL
Re: How do you try in win, in the BBKL
Mike Weavers, Stephan Robidas' and Nate Thompsons, Bryce Salvadors with SOLID goaltending, sprinkled with all kinds of luck. Make only necessary trades and be patient. There's your winning formula. Oh and the people who throw out players because they are over the age of 30, wont win.

I meet with Scott Smith once a week to learn from the best BBKL GM there is, the best BBKL GM there was, and the best BBKL GM there ever will be.

Re: How do you try in win, in the BBKL
The word patient is relative. I am not saying inactive. I make trades when i need to or an offer comes that i cant refuse. The year i won i made a ton of deadline deals. It paid off.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONbeing patient is for geeks.CAM wroteCOLONMike Weavers, Stephan Robidas' and Nate Thompsons, Bryce Salvadors with SOLID goaltending, sprinkled with all kinds of luck. Re: How do you try in win, in the BBKL
the two most important factors I took away from the year I won:
1. spend big on elite centers
2. cut costs with cheap periph heavy dmen
my championship roster:
Patrick Sharp (3.90) - Pavel Datsyuk (6.70) - James Neal (2.875)
Milan Michalek (4.333) - John Tavares (3.75) - Erik Cole (4.50)
Ryane Clowe (3.625) - Patrick Elias (6.00) - Vinny Prospal (2.50)
Nate Thompson (0.90) - Chris Kelly (2.125) - Patrick Kaleta (0.908)
Kevin Shattenkirk (1.30) - Stephane Robidas (3.30)
Jack Johnson (4.357) - Carl Gunnarsson (1.325)
Josh Gorges (2.50) - Willie Mitchell (3.50)
Ex: Mathieu Darche (0.70)
Corey Crawford (2.667)
Ray Emery (0.60)
also, goaltending is overrated.

Re: How do you try in win, in the BBKL
I will slowly become more patient now that I am putting my own stamp on my team. I've made 21 deals, but it's because I was trying to change the direction of my team and was trimming down the roster and bringing in assets I wanted to build around. No chance I make that many deals in the first couple months of next season.

I smiled.
My opinion: good consistent GMing + more playoff gp + avoiding injuries at key times (avoid bad-luck) . As there is not much separating a round 1 loss and a championship. Would anyone be surprised to see TOR, LAK, PIT, SJS, MTL, BOS, STL, NYI or even TBL on the cup this year? a bunch of those teams will lose in the first round, and none of them would be an unfit champion.
IMO there is nothing wrong with lots of deals or just a few deals, that's the outcome of a host of other factors.

I'm afraid I can't help, If I knew how to win, I would have done it already. Now if you want to know how to miss the playoffs, or lose once you're in, I'm your guy.
