Yup, good talks Shook, thanks.
Re: CGY/SJS
hate this deal so much. After a weekend of selling a guy off on a low I definitely need a bbkl break. Thankfully xmas will be here.

Re: CGY/SJS
How was there not a better offer than this for Parenteau? Wtf is the rest of BBKL doing when Shook is being this reasonable?
Then the lower end teams complain about how it's hard to build up.
Good on Josh for taking the opportunity but this should not have been the winning bid.

Re: CGY/SJS
then next best was pauls at Comeau + Fehr. If I trusted those guys had jobs at the end of the year, I'd have taken it. Kareem and Kyle both offered the Best players but nothing could be worked out. Kyle because of snowstorm and Kareem because he is in school and I am running out of time.SuperMario wroteCOLONHow was there not a better offer than this for Parenteau? I made numerous offers to many gm's.
Re: CGY/SJS
cap issues stopped me from getting an offer in.
Re: CGY/SJS
raffl is looking like a decent two way player and zucker will either help me upgrade somewhere or be a nice piece in the future. so yea I got raped in the bumhole but I do like two pieces I got here.

I get this reasoning. Some of the other, well not so much. I just wish I didn't have to give my freebie away to someone in my division. I hate upgrading guys within my div.bcool wroteCOLONlikewiseNick wroteCOLONcap issues stopped me from getting an offer in.

Yeah cap issues for me too made it difficult...that being said PAP doesnt exactly fit my team build either...

Re: CGY/SJS
No contenders had room really. That being said, Josh was smart and grabbed the value. I offer PAP to people and they all had reasons for saying no, but sometimes a homerun value wise just makes it worth while. Regardless of if it hurts you short term in one or two stats. Anyways enough said, don't want to preach, I was just shocked at how hard it was to lose a trade. I can't imagine how hard it is to win a trade right now.Chuck Norris wroteCOLONYeah cap issues for me too made it difficult...that being said PAP doesnt exactly fit my team build either...

He's not a good fit for my build either, but for a deal like this hard to say no, I will miss Raffl and Zucker, like both of those guys quite a bit.

Didn't make sense for me either, I wanted to get the value, but I didn't have what Shook was looking for.

Re: CGY/SJS
yes i do,
You added a very solid prospect in Zucker, you added a good up and comer in Raffl, and you added a depth/cheap forward.
i see nothing wrong with this deal.

Re: CGY/SJS
i dont see what the big deal is tbh.
parenteau hits zero periphs and has been only average offensively despite playing with duchene all season. when shook first pm'd me the mcginn + garbutt offer my immediate reaction was "yes!" but when i looked at it, parenteau is maybe a 45 pt guy with zero peripheral impact making 4 million dollars.

Re: CGY/SJS
Maybe a 45 point guy who is on pace for 48 points this year and averaged 54 points per 69 games the last 3 seasons? I understand being upset you didn't get P.A. but no need for mud slinging.
