Makes losing that game (and the group) to Canada sting a little more...Canada gets Switzerland and wins in fairly comfortable fashion and Team USA had to tangle with the Russians.

I don't think that was an easy win for us at all. I think we got outplayed in the first and the swiss did a very good job of limiting our chances today. You are 100% right though, our win over the USA was a massive win. Going from a road facing Russia/Sweden to SWI/FIN was massive both for the games and mentally for our group. If we end up with a Gold medal, the win against USA will be viewed as the turning point towards success for our team and is likely already viewed as the demise of yours.
I never saw the USA game but sucks to lose with two 5 on 3 goals. Hopefully the penalties weren't too cheap, would make this very hard to swallow.

I disagree. Just not an experienced squad that's making a million mistakes. Talent wise, probably equivalent or superior to previous teams. I think our defense has been outright terrible other than the big 3 (Pouliot, Reinhart, Ekblad).bcool wroteCOLONtoo many "2 way players", not enough game breakers.
