They take a certain amount of KHLers and Semin is having a poor season this year while missing time with a concussion (after posting a PPG last year). ie- Viktor Tikhonov.

Also very questionable picks like Anisimov, Kulemin and Nichushkin over Semin.

Semin is one of the most underrated defensive players in the NHL.

For those into the advanced stats, Semin is #2 in the NHL in Relative CORSI for those that have played >20 games this season.
