Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
This is the best way I can put it. When healthy, the lineup should be something like:
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Raymond
Holland - Bolland - Clarkson
Kulemin - McClement - Bodie/Ashton/Leivo/Orr/McLaren
That's when we are HEALTHY. What's the problem? Carlyle doesn't play some of these guys when we are not healthy...
Instead we:
1. Send Holland down (reason for this is that if he plays 3 more games, we have to give ANA a 2nd instead of a 3rd) BUT WITH BOLLAND OUT, WHY would you not play Holland more??? No one cares if we lose the 2nd. We care if we make the playoffs. Reason to send him down? If we keep him up, CARLYLE WON'T PLAY HIM. He played 5 minutes last night...
2. McClement seems to be getting all the extra minutes with Bolland out when it should be Bozak/Kadri. Kadri is virtually not trusted by our organization. It's a fuckin joke. Even when we are down 4-2 last night, McClement is out there taking draws. Who scores a goal? Lupul/Kadri line in their limited ice time.
3. Carlyle keeps fucking playing McLaren and Orr for no reason. Those guys give our team NO cover. Heck, they aren't even the two best options at the "Tough Guy" position. Bodie is better...Instead we have those two fuckin meatheads who give up basically a goal a game.
These are just a few of my complaints. It's a fuckin joke. Get rid of Carlyle please. Neel made a good point to me today. He said that it's almost like Nonis is trying to not fire Carlyle to not send the message that we are throwing this season away. But by not firing Carlyle he is doing just that.
And the Holland situation just points out that Nonis and Carlyle are not on the same page. This needs to happen sooner rather than later. As in, in the next week. But I know it won't happen. We'll ride out Carlyle all year like idiots and then let him run our training camp again and then fire him mid season next year after watching the same movie again.

I agree with shiv above
I hate the leafs, I will now cheer for the nucks as I enjoy watching the sedins succeed under that crazy american.

I'd put clarkson above raymond.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The NHL's Olympic break has been shortened by a day. The #canes and #sabres will make up their postponed game on Feb. 25.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
God I hope not
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
it'll probably be tacked onto the start of the next week
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Would it make more sense to add it to prior week? There will be a 2 week delay. i know its basically the same thing. Do you guys as mods have powers to customize that stuff on the fly?

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Feb 25th is a Tuesday guys....the only day we lose from that week is Monday so yes it's counted as a full week. Also the Olympic break starts on a Sunday so we lose 1 day from that week as well; but it considered a full week for matchups.CAM wroteCOLONDoes that week count for us? 2 days?
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
So the teams with multiple players from CAR and BUF get a scheduling advantage? Like who faces Shiv and who faces whoever owns Miller? Thats brutal if so....
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Is that the week i had the extra game from the Boston bombing?Mike wroteCOLONkinda like our playoff matchup
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
OK, i was all confused. I was thinking it was adding to a one day week prior to olympics.... Disregard my oldness
