Kadri is most definitely better than Filppula IMO. He is also a C which in my experience are tough to land for a winger in a 1 for 1 trade. I would have probably kept Yak, but this is a safer move and the value is there.

Id rather yak over kadri though...

If yak gets better (i have no doubt he will despite my prior shit talking) it wont be close...he has 90+ written all over him...

Seriously though. I still consult with a few GMs prior to making a trade. I respect other people opinions and help. It is a keeper league afterall and we dont hit the reset button at seasons end. If not me, at least get opinions from someone else other than the person you are dealing with and who may have something to gain. I do it and i am not one bit ashamed to admit it. I am not as experienced with propects so i ALWAYS ask others.

Its not that big of a deal but 1st overall is huge. He is in a bad spot and has a terrible plus minus atm but Kadri? This is just my opinion and others may disagree but this is the stuff i like to hear before i make a deal. Pros/cons...opinions, etc..

If im really on the fence about something ill ask one or two people. I always trust my own judgement when it comes down to it. Its my team after all. Im quite picky with my trades though so that helps me i find.

Paul offered me val filp for kadri and I couldn't do it for cap or I would have, when he got yak he re-offered it.

I thought about it and accepted after about a day. If I thought this was straight murder I would have added. But as of now kadri is a safer, cheaper, and better player who's only 22.

I seriously fail to see the hate. I honestly thought guys would hate this for me.

I think this may not be the best move for you atm. I think Paul did quite well landing Yak for Filp. What an amazing piece to add to a semi rebuilder. Like i said its not that far off in terms of balance but I feel Kadri is WAY over-rated and Yak is way under rated if looking at both players right now. Kadri last year was ridiculous high in value. He is coming back down to earth. Good time to sell. Again, im not shitting on the deal, just stating my opinion only and how i enjoy hearing others feelings on potential deals. Shiv will always ask others advice(if your online within 5 mins of any offer, lol) I try to do the same. You can use that insane offer Nick made Shiv last week that included Yak. For almost any other team that deal was a homerun but for a team looking to compete now, not the best move plus you strengthen your direct competition. I don't know...Its kinda fun hearing opinions on player values from other folks. Thats basically all i was saying that i like to do. Not telling anyone what to do.

Kadri hopefully turns out great but like mike said he looks so weak out there. Needs a solid weight training program. Has some nifty hands for sure but i dont know if his skill sets on par with nails.

Not even kidding, i wud be ecstatic to bring this thread back up at the end of the season. I honestly think i have a shot at winning this trade without the blue goggles on only reason why i made the trade. Both are small guys but yak with more fire power and skills. However i also think yak has a bigger risk bevause he has the khl option (unlikely to happen) and also has attitude problems of his own. He shud get traded in real life to have a shot at 90 pts
