This is the only time where i would get an actual Faceoff taking centre for purcell. His chemistry with Filppula is off the charts right now. Desharnais has also been picking up pace lately im happy

Easily the most improved.

If you were a ball player i would have moved you from RF to SS - that's a huge jump!

Finesse player for finesse player. Purcell has slightly better offence with 20 more points over the last 3 seasons, but Desharnais is cheaper and takes FOs. I'd take Desharnais, but seems fair to me.

Paul just turned into a homerun hitter

SS to Firstbase or DH

Chicks dig the long ball

Bruyns anaysis usually rings true with mine, because he actually looks at the party's full roster and their needs, and what they can afford positionally/statistically before commenting. A very careful analyzer.

Shiv on the contrary, just looks at his own team and then the stats.

I know it's easy to make statements like this when I'm not on your side lol. But Tony and I almost always agree on valuation because we build similar teams.

As for the trade, my rationale is simple. There are 3-4 types of teams to build when trying to win a championship. Desharnais would not have a spot on any type IMO. Purcell would have a spot on 1-2 of those types. And Tony is building the type of team that Purcell could fit on to contend.
