Updated after acquiring Jerry D'Amigo and Justin Kea.

Tyler Johnson with a hatty tonite. Maybe we should start to believe the Calder hype.

too many other rookies doing similar things at younger ages for him to win. His minutes likely drop when Stammer returns too.

Great young player though. No denying that.

Just think.. If you had of traded for the Pittsburgh system, you'd have. A delicious shut out on the first night of the week instead of whatever shitty stats your system put up.

Interest in Sam Gagner, a few PMs about him this week

To quote a famous saying " Just because he's off to a slow start doesn't mean I'm selling low" We all know his potential.

You know he is 24 years old playing on the worst team in the NHL .. every single season in the NHL, right?

His numbers are down from last year.. That whole team is a gong show

i would also bet he ends up a Hawk, and if he does watch the fuck out

he and Kane are bff's, and it's been rumored for months that the oilers want a dman and the hawks need a C for kane....could u imagine those 2 back together? they were deadly in junior paired up.

I can tell you don't watch the Oilers. Check my previous postings on Gagner throughout the board, as I've been consistently telling people he's a legit top 5 draft pick player whom started his full time NHL career at the ripe old age of 18, and never even played down in the minors from then. He managed 40+ pts every single year on the absolute trainwreck of a team in Edmonton. He is EASILY a 70+ pt player in any competent running NHL team.

it's ironic, because Lee and i are talking about Gagner now and this is exactly what we've said.

Gagner is an excellent hockey player, he's just stuck on a shit team, in a bad situation. I'd bet he's moved by the deadline. If i had the cap space i'd be all over Gagner.

Maybe nick watches the oilers. Dunno
I guess all he was trying to say was that gagner no matter what the story, isnt a reliable FANTASY option all things equal

I watch some oilers - not a lot, always are considered a team close to breaking out so it's fun to keep tabs on them. I like the Perron - Gagner - Yak line, lots of skill there .

But regarding Gagner, he's gotta be considered the player he's likely to be for most of his career now, no? Lots of players have their biggest offensive # before 27/28, so... Now perhaps Sam's problem (in terms of hitting his ceiling) is more with the rest of it, and maturity will bring it. He's an awesome player, I just don't expect him to change much.

Hawks would be a deadly fit. Deadly.

So I guess Perron, who is having a career year on his new shitty team, would be a 80 pt guy somewhere else? Right....he was already somewhere else. The oilers are free wheeling and wide open. They should be scoring more(not accomplished) but also letting in more(mission accomplished).
