i will be the first to admit i avoid euro/russian prospects.

I literally have no interest in drafting them.

There are too many leagues overseas for them to stay and play in. This isn't something new i've admit too. I've been preaching my dislike for russians since the beginnings.

anyway, if i have a bias it's in favour of euros, not against N.A.

Actually, more than anything what happens is at the draft whenever i like a N.American he goes early in the draft, whereas some of my targeted euros more often drop..

They are, as you said they are part of the EU, but lets be honest, no one really considers them Euro.

It's the opposite.
He said they are not part of UE.
In fact they are not.
However Euro people actually consider Russians Europeans, be it because their capital is indeed in Europe (Urals being the geographical boundaries), or simply because they always took part in any Euro sport competition (and it's not like those born in the Asian part can't participate), like Euro soccer Cup, which is quite a big event all over Europe.
Not being part of UE is a different thing from not being part of the European continent. Switzerland for example is not part of UE, yet it takes to me like half a hour drive to cross the border and get there from where i live.. suggesting Switzerland is part of the European continent as much as Italy.
And that's where the term "Europeans" apply, no matter the UE composition.
