to get my starting goalie i'd move Cowen straight, might have to add a prospect or something...

can't compete with backups (even though i know you're not competiting this year) but it would suck to miss goalie games played and land the top pick in next years draft only to have it drop down a few spots and miss out on mcDavid.

heck, matt paid me Rielly ++ for Bernier...and i'd say Rielly > Cowen (and not just because i'm a leaf fan, i quite like cowen as well)

Cowen and Rielly are hard to compare..one's big/stay at home type of dman with a little offensive ability...the other is an offensive wizard who can carry the play and skate, creates openings, creates odd man rushes, etc....

Rielly is a lot better than Cowen, and you'd pretty much have to never watch hockey to think otherwise.

that said, dave has talked to me about halak, only because i asked him what he was looking for. He gave me a comparible offer he made to someone else but that wasn't you and didn't involve cowen.

Not sure many people would call Cowen better never mind way better.

From what I have read even Sens fans haven't been that happy with Cowen's development or lack of. Big hit total for BBKL, but Reilly is no slouch and is much better at the offensive stats.

He had less than 30 points, and Cowen was around 15.....I'd take 180 more hits and 200+ shtoi over 15 extra points anyday. Real life Reilly is likely the better player long term, but right now it'd be close IMO, Reilly has a ways to go to reach his ceiling. In H2H I'd take Cowen everyday myself.
