Re: CAR/MTL
Confirmed. Now I'll be like 8 players over the overall limit LOL.
Re: CAR/MTL
you would hope a GM of a crappy team would try harder before giving away 7 assets for a single similar one... it's obvious Kim could have added a couple of later 2015 picks from someone else if he kept a couple of those in this deal.
Re: CAR/MTL
Also call my team crappy again and ill fuckin bomb italy. Bitch
Re: CAR/MTL
The chances of one of those picks ever making the NHL is pretty low.
"From over 2,000 players selected in the third round and beyond during 1990s, just 261 made it as NHL career players. That's about 12 percent."
I imagine a big chunk are from the 3rd and 4th rounds. Those 6th round picks are pretty useless IMO but maybe Chuck finds one NHL player out of them.

Re: CAR/MTL
For me it's all about the trade value. If one of those picks ends up getting drafted in the 5th of the real draft then I break even, anyone else will be profit. Given hod wide open this draft looks to be I have to think I'll at least get one drafted guy from the lot.Bruyns wroteCOLONThe chances of one of those picks ever making the NHL is pretty low.

Re: CAR/MTL
I can't wait for the moment a guy picked with one of those 6th rounders gets selected in the 4th in the NHL draft and Chuck trades him for a better pick than the one Kim received for his whole package lol
Besides, even if a guy doesn't get picked higher at the draft you can still hit value: i drafted Frederik Andersen with the very last pick of my first draft (2010).. I drafted Weegar last year at #200...
edit: LOL great gif Tyler

Re: CAR/MTL
Was curious what my final tally was on this deal. Not a bad haul in the end:
6ths:
PHI - Brandon Hickey (3rd Rounder)
PIT - Reid Duke (6th Rounder)
FLA - Julien Pelletier (4th Rounder)
ANA - Axel Holmström (7th Rounder)
NJD - Michael Amadio (3rd Rounder) - traded 6+7 acquired in this deal to move up and draft here
7ths:
Shane Gersich (5th Rounder)
Total return:
5th for 3rd + 3rd + 4th + 5th + 6th + 7th
Pretty happy with that!
