Yup, they've even come out and said he's going to be on Boino's wing or he'll C the 3rd line.Shoalzie wroteCOLONThe HF posters seem to think he's slotted for the 2nd or 3rd line...I'd believe that. Bonino is probably a natural fit as the 2nd C to replace Kesler.

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
Tlusty + Downie would've been quite appealing a few years ago.
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
As the resident Canucks fan I feel obligated to point out that Vey isn't guaranteed any sort of position on this team. Although it's a guarantee he will make it somewhere. He has a lot of competition and could be a 2W or anywhere on the 3rd or 4th lines. At 2/3 wing he has Burrows, Kassian, Higgins, Jensen and Hansen to compete with. And at 3c he has Horvat, Gaunce, Matthias, Fox, Cassels to compete with. Personally I have him playing on Horvat wing, but there are lots of possibilities

If you had listened to their radio interview last week (which you woudln't get in quebec, because it was in english). The new coach said he expected Matthias to start as their 4line C
-i'm not kidding or trolling.
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
I can't see Richardson being moved from 4C. He was fantastic last year
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
Starting with him as the 3rd line C would seem to make sense as a result, though
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
Definetely a good possibility. But some of us Canucks fans, myself included, feel quite strongly that Horvat is ready for a real hard look at filling that role next season.kyuss wroteCOLONStarting with him as the 3rd line C would seem to make sense as a result, though

Several teams have checked in and kicked the tires...not in a rush to make a deal.

Victoria.
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Offseason
Ahhhh well if it's 2/3 Victoria we will probably have to go with Bluebucks then.

I'll drink whatever is on tap. If we time it right we could watch a royals game.
