Yea, so im gonna claim dumb here too. I may be blocked and not see this "compare list" icon thinger. Where on page is it?
Click "players" heading at the top

In the "Action" column there are icons, click the one that is 2 people with an arrow. Each player that has that icon clicked on will be added to the compare list.

Switch "status/team" to compare list and switch position from "all" to "skaters".

It's important we keep track of our own assets - should anything happen to fantrax we don't want an ugly situation compared to the relatively simple and extremely easy googledoc setup we have.

Dave as the newest member here, I feel I have the authority to answer your questions. No it seems that everyone hasn't been claimed on fantrax, a few guys have been sleeping on the league too much this summer it seems. I know for a fact that Brandon Pirri is not available. Hell even Sam Reinhart is a FA on fantrax. We definitely need to get organized here, because like you I find it frustrating to be unable to do legitimate scouring of FA talent available.

Things will be back to normal closer to the waiver draft and season, not a lot of incentive to crack down on things during the offseason and IFFHL is more dead than it is here right now and both leagues will be healthy and active come season start. Clendening still unclaimed too and recent draft picks, but it seems like the majority of players are on their teams. With using Fantrax for next season I still think teams need to have their players claimed by the waiver draft so GMs can see who is available.

can't say i disagree..

to currently have a better idea of who should indeed be available I think you should search through the old roster grid of CBS. For those who don't have access on CBS i wanted to attach the html file, but the system doesn't allow me. Contact me on Skype and I'll give it to you. Obviously you have to consider all the 2014 Draft guys still needed to be added there.. combining a search there + a search in our draft results thread should give pretty reliable results.

No. GMs should be responsible, go through their players list on Fantrax, and add the ones that are missing. It's not difficult.

We aren;t using CBS anymore!!!

kyuss wroteCOLONI've now added the salaries (the cap hits actually). They should show up in a new column on your team page.

However:
The initial update is done approximately a month or so before the season begins (this varies depending on the sport), as before then too many players are still without contracts. After that time, salaries/cap-hits will be updated every few days or so, as more players get signed to contracts. If you want a player's salary/cap-hit to be updated quicker after he is signed, feel free to contact our Customer Support staff, with the player, his salary, and the link(s) to the source(s) you used (the more the better).

* After any player's salary/cap-hit is updated in our database, in order for the change to appear in your league, your Commissioner must regenerate salaries.
And actually, a player like Folin who signed back on April 1st is still without a contract on Fantrax (maybe they thought it was a joke lol)

Note:
Fantrax cap hits (when up to date) correspond to Capgeek AAV column, the one we have been using since they changed their Cap hits to the clear-of-bonuses figures
So I've just regenerated all the players salaries now that supposedly Fantrax updated their database and unfortunately the new Fantrax cap-hit figures do not correspond anymore to the AAV capgeek column we use as reference, rather to the capgeek cap-hit column (which doesn't take bonuses into account)

Hence, most rookies salaries are wrong for example.

ugh
