Luongo's cap hit

Post by hong57 »

http://www.capgeek.com/player/683

it says 4,533,333 on fantrax and capgeek (at the top right)
but $5,333,333 at the bottom of the capgeek page where his contract was 12 years.

which one is it suppose to be? I think he didn't get bought out or anything..
thanks hockey geniuses

5.3

VAN is retaining 800K in salary which is why it shows 4.5

wait... then shouldn't it be 4.8333 then since we should follow how they add the cap up for each team? and that's how fantrax calculated too and we will have less confusion and easier to detect?

No Hong, it's a AAV for us, unless we change it moving forward (for next season).

It's capgeek that for some reasons changed how they show their salaries, their cap hits from previous years (i.e. counting bonuses) last season became their AAV salaries.

We have always considered the same cap hits, basically capgeek changed the way they call our cap hits, which is annoying.
