How come there is no posts on how fucking awful the Leafs played Sat night against Bruins? That was an embarrassment. Kessel looks like he cares lots. Phaneuf is a giant pylon...lol. They talk about the core but the core needs to be purged. There is some talent on this team, some changes need to be made, soon, unless they are planning on going after MCDavid. I would say Car and BUF will be battling all year for that. If you are a tanking team in bbkl and want some assurance i would have CAR or BUF goalie system.

the leafs core is too flawed to ever compete.

kessel, bozak, lupul, phanuef, kadri, jvr - there are decent pieces here but it's simply not good enough to win. moving kadri and a 1st for staal or whatever isn't going to help. we need to sell. management is just spinning tires if they continue to build around this group.

the phaneuf extension is going to turn out to fuck us big time. the "burke core" of lupul, phanuef, kessel, bozak, i'd move em all but some of the contracts make it hard.

guaranteed the sabres will be good before we ever are again. this team's history of furiously denying the need to draft and develop their own players has to stop at some point - it's painfully obvious that trades and FA's are NOT the way to go anymore. seems like every other fucking team in the league has figured this out except the leafs.
