Only thing I would add is you'd get more diverse offers selling together as the cap hits are easier to manage that way.

But ya I see your point. If you got cap room, I can offer on MacKinnon alone.

Mr 'take fighting out of hockey' is ok with a dirty hit?

that's the type of crap that needs to stop in the NHL, not fighting. pushing someone that's 5' from the boards head first into those boards will eventually kill someone.

not mad, just twisted logic?

i'd rather get in a fight and be-able to protect myself rather than get hit from behind and sent head first into the boards (broken neck/back, broken gaw, concussion, broken wrist, dislocated shoulder, etc....) that's just to name a few injuries from that

fighting = bloody hand and nose

for me, it's just a tad twisted that some people view stuff like that okay but fighting not.

This also has nothing to do with Toews being on my roster, if he's hurt i have several replacements. It's the fact that crap like that needs to stop happening in the NHL. We almost need stop-signs on all NHL jerseys like we have in timbits hockey

Its true, if players knew they would have to deal with getting knocked out they probably wouldn't be hitting from behind and slew footing. Cherry has it right there.

ya, old Don Cherry has gone completely mad in his old age, but that's one thing he has right. The hybrid icing and hitting in the 4'-8' range from the boards. That crap has already broken several necks in children across canada. Its only a matter of time before it does the same (or god forbid) kills an NHLer
