The Leafs look good right now. Granted, it does help that the East is floundering. I don't think there is an elite team in the East right now. I think if you can get into the playoffs...you can realistically get out of the East and be fed to whatever hell beast the West throws out.

White has played more than 500 games in the NHL, most recently with the Detroit Red Wings during the 2012-'13 season.

He's not making an insane amount ($3M AAV) but he's got two more years after the deal. I'm kinda surprised the Preds didn't give him more of a shot with the new coach...only has played in 5 games. Injuries continue to be a problem. I wonder if he just ends back in the AHL again. The way the Preds are playing, they probably don't need him.
