I know this very feeling he's going through, although I've never been in a contender position before - doesn't matter how high of a value or upside a player has. If they're not producing at a rate they expected them to produce, it's frustrating watching/keeping them. It's that push of a piece that can be replaced by Duchene right this moment that can give him those extra 4-5 more pts every week will satisfy him. I do wonder if he thinks Sedin could just be that guy, because their age gap is nearly 10 yrs. However he should probably know that a guy like Sedin won't just decline sharply over one year time - and know that he has quite several years left in his career to still flip him for decent value in the future.

My guess though, is that he's looking for someone slightly younger. But Sedin's got over 10 pts more than Duchene does so let's see if he shows any sort of interest.`
