Schedule matchups Idea
Schedule matchups Idea
I was looking through commish options in Fantrax and I found that it is possible to play against more than 1 team each week.
"# matchups per scoring period per team
Choose the number of matchups that you want the auto-scheduler to generate for each team per scoring period. The "standard" is 1, but some leagues like each team to play several other teams per period. You may edit the matchups manually on the Matchups tab."
thoughts?

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
Instead of just playing 1 team per week, you can set up Fantrax schedule so you are actually playing against 1 or 2 or more other teams simultaneously....
Re: Schedule matchups Idea

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
Dave is proposing an 82 game schedule where each overall win against an opponent counts as 1.
Ok he's not really saying that

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
I had a feeling you were. just put the second part there incase lol. I think it would be a pretty cool idea and it mimics the nhl obviously.
I'm interested to see other people's opinions on this.
edit:
my concern with this is that a couple injuries mid week could kill you in potentially 3-4 matchups as you won't be able to sub in your press box guys. It could go both ways however, with an opponent getting the crappy luck too.

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
Ohhh u mean
For ex) if Carolina real life nhl team plays BOS BUF PIT in that one week, u make it that way in bbkl schedule and if u win that days stats against that one day one game u give urself 1-0-0?nice!

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
haha, paul is so lost
paul i'm assuming he means we play a full week but our stats are matched against 3 other teams. An example: In week 1 i play Carolina, Boston, Edmonton. My h2h stats that week against each team end as follows:
I beat Carolina: 16-0
I beat Boston: 15-1
I lost to Edmonton: 3-13
your stats will be matched up against the 3 teams for the entire week

i love it, someone convince the CC this is a good idea
Re: Schedule matchups Idea
Ok
But as arian said, this might represent more quantity over quality of matchups as 2 injuries mid week cud ruin it for u if 2 of the 3 matchups ur facing includes a divisional rival/someone close to u in standings u wanna beat out. Too risky

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
...but injuries in the one week you play a division rival might give them a win they shouldn't have had.........the way it is right now.
if you get to play them 2 or 3 more times in the season....you get the chance to win it back.

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
ya i think it would all work itself out, seems like a pretty good idea so each team can at least play once.
love it, lets lock it down for next year
