ya it can go both ways really. you could also get lucky in some matchups and have your opponents get injuries too obviously.dave1959 wroteCOLON...but injuries in the one week you play a division rival might give them a win they shouldn't have had.........the way it is right now.
if you get to play them 2 or 3 more times in the season....you get the chance to win it back.

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
Yeah I agree all depends how much thought and work wants to be put in it bc there are a bunch of different ways you could go with it........Real life schedule, something along the lines of playing at least one game a week against your division, one against all the other division, etc but real life is obviously the easiest by far I'd thinkArian The Insider wroteCOLONthat's the easiest way to do it.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONSeems interesting to at least consider.....so what use the real life NHL schedule?

Seems like a pretty extreme change for a league going on its 7th or 8th year.
Its interesting and all...but, you know, just saying...

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
I don't like the idea of having a 2-o-1 record, and instead would prefer if Steve won 15-1, 12-4 and tied 8-8 for his record to be 35-13, but I definitely like the idea of multiple opponents in a week to complete an 82 opponent schedule.

Dave: Can the Fantrax schedule be manipulated to mimic the NHL exactly?
Now that would be epic. Talk about integrating Fantasy with NHL.

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
I like the idea, and looked at it. However playing 4 guys a week would get weird and risk losing
interest.
Like to get 82 would mean 4 matchups a week, kinda excessive, right? Especially if we keep our current scoring
Format.
It would Definitley magnify hot and cold weeks, which may actually be an accurate representation of

i think it would peak interest and trading. Each GM would try to trade to benefit their team to beat at least 2/4 teams each week.Nick wroteCOLONI like the idea, and looked at it. However playing 4 guys a week would get weird and risk losing

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
I agree. I think we would see more weekly trading, especially if a gm is against 3 similar type opponents in a week.
Also, a teams hot streak can't be entirely ruined. For example, I had my best week offensively by far last week finishing fourth in g/a/p but was up against the guy who finished 2nd in all categories. If I were up against 3 other teams it would be like I went on a hot offensive week for an entire week and played multiple opponents. Thus, the hot streak would defeat 2 teams and lose to one.

Re: Schedule matchups Idea
I assume the schedule would return to one-on-one for the playoffs?
Also, I think it would give us a more accurate depiction of who are actually the top teams in the regular season standings; making playoff match-ups more accurate.

I like it Dave! It basically comes down to stats and you are running your models 3 times agasint 3 different variables instead of just once against one. Gives a better picture of overall performance. I really like it.

Would be nice on weeks playing someone like Mike when I would get maybe 4 points but get like 13 points against anyone else
