The one money phone was during the lockout. Rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, myself included.Arian The Insider wroteCOLONhe deserves to be scratched this game for violating the dress code. the other stuff about pictures and money is just making a big deal out of nothing.
if his value is low I'd like the leafs to take a chance on him

doesn't bother me. every player is about the money and so is every owner and rightfully so. none of these guys would be playing for free or not collecting revenues when they can. it's really just people looking for an excuse to criticize any athlete IMO. it's his money and he's not doing anything illegal or immoral with it so i don't see the issue.KapG wroteCOLONThe one money phone was during the lockout. the dress code is a team rule though and i agree that he shouldn't have broken it.

We've had this discussion before. Just going to agree to disagree .Arian The Insider wroteCOLONdoesn't bother me. every player is about the money and so is every owner and rightfully so. none of these guys would be playing for free or not collecting revenues when they can. it's really just people looking for an excuse to criticize any athlete IMO. it's his money and he's not doing anything illegal or immoral with it so i don't see the issue.KapG wroteCOLONThe one money phone was during the lockout. I'd still be OK with Kane to Toronto WWould prefer Marky mark though.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Reading more and it seems the "dress code" thing is just a cover up for something more. The Jets needed a legit reason not to dress him for that game without spilling the beans on the real issue. Could be just a media ploy to get attention on him for trade bait, or a cover up from some other personal issue. Wasn't he is trouble with the police over an assault charge in Vancouver? The game he was scratched for was in Vancouver. just speculating here.

so would I.. Scheifele has more potential IMO and plays C. I don't even think Kane is that good but it would be worth it to take a chance on a cheap trade and see if he can be a 2-way top 6 LW for us.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Fine him if he broke a team rule. The Jets are fighting for a playoff spot and benching one of their best players over a track suit seems like bad management. If the Leafs were actually good and Kessel was benched for showing up to an afternoon team meeting in a track suit and we lost in OT and missed the playoffs by one point I'd be pissed that management dressed an inferior lineup over some silly rule.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Just don't let the media see him eating a cookie, whatever you do.

they will spin it as Evander being lazy and not committing to a proper diet and fitnessLee wroteCOLONJust don't let the media see him eating a cookie, whatever you do.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Not at all, his value would go up if he was on another team anyways. Just don't agree with hurting a teams playoff chances over something so small.KapG wroteCOLONYou're just mad cause you own himBruyns wroteCOLONFine him if he broke a team rule.
