Sunday Special: Center Trade Up/Trade Down: Nick Bonino

Post by Fraser »

Putting Bonino's name out there as a potential trading piece. Open to either trading up or trading down but would want a center coming back in the deal either way. Injured or healthy.

26 years old.
Salary is a steal at 1.9 for 2 more seasons after this one.
All around contributor on Canucks 2nd line, and #1 PK Unit. 0.5 PPG, over 100 SHTOI, 56 blocks (near top of all forwards), SOG, FOW.

Have a lot of future based assets to tie to any trading up deal, the quality of assets would obviously be dependent on quality of upgrade. If trading down picks and prospects are the name of the game. Either way not looking to get significantly older, would cap it at early 30's but its really player dependent, and there is a definite preference to not get significantly older in any potential deal.

Fire away.

Derek Roy

Or

Brian Flynn

Roy could even be an upgrade come next yr. Reports indicate the oilers have great interest in signing Roy to an extention. Yakupov has been having a stellar stream with Roy centering him hence this could be a career reviving move for edm

Flynn: one of those young very versatile player on a bad rebuilding team. Check his stat production for what type of player he is. He could easily be a permanent centre with that kinda fow percentage
