ok, it's not like it wouldn't work to solve the problem, it's just that it would work badly and in an unfair manner.
Like.. we may just decide today that only the top 4 teams per conference advance to the playoffs. That would also WORK as far as solving the problem of having a 6days final goes. Not sure that should be enough to be fine with that solution though.

seriously, it's probably like playing a full week anyways. I suspect most teams play between 2-4 games that week and a total number of 50-60 team games will be played.
btw, until we solve one of the main BBKL flaws, which is not having the chance to sub injured players during matchups, 2 weeks periods are not exactly ideal anyway.. more chances for teams to get royally screwed by injuries happening in the first week of the matchup.
dave1959 wroteCOLONcommishes can sub in players.......just sayin'
of course they can.
The point is, on CBS substituting a player at some point during the week meant taking away the injured player stats registered up to that point, AND adding the stats the sub had while on the bench/in the minors. I'm sure you can see that would NOT give us a legit chance to sub injured players.
Is Fantrax any different for that matter? really hope that is the case.
So it is settled. 6 day final. Done. Finito. Thanks, and move along.
We should start a thread with a list of issues for next season that can begin to be discussed now. The op has issues listed and everyone in the league can discuss all the topics. When all ideas are out there and discussed to death, the cc can then look at all relevant arguments put forth on each issue and make a decision.
Time and open discussion are great for fixing flaws.

Yes, I have commish powers on Fantrax in other leagues and you can swap out players for a period, but it also gives you the ability to adjust for a specific date.

Time and open discussion are great for fixing flaws. Hell, that's how lots of technology companies fix their bugs and flaws. Release and then patch what is needed.
The CC doesn't care about anyones opinion but their own.
I trust them. They all seem Rational. Give them rational well explained well written arguments clearly showing the positive points of an adjustment outweigh the negative, and I assume they will make the change. Everyone wants what is best for the league long term.

that's great news.
Not sure it would be fine with everyone to introduce at this point of the season the change of allowing substitutions of injured players during playoff weeks, but it's certainly something we'll need to do at least for next season.
