At first I was thinking he should hold lazar rather than trade him for a guy who will be 30 next year and only scored 40 something points this season, cuz lazar could put up 40 next year. But the more I think about it, if stastny came out and played a full yr next yr he could put up 60-75 points, and then darkness could trade him for 2 lazars. And lazar is still a risk at this point. Worst case stastny doesn't kill it next yr and darkness could still trade him for another good young player.

You should be all over that and locking it in with steve, darkness. Fraser is right. I don't think you will get a better offer at all for lazar. Lazar could end up as a 35-40 point player. Think about it...I got approx. 2 20th overalls for ribeiro...and stastny is worth more than ribby, yet he is just asking for lazar.

Sometimes you need to respect a great offer. And lazar isn't mcdavid: there won't be infinite interest.
