W-l-t is for football leagues IMO.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONMy insider info tells me that the CC has been watching this debate closely and they have noticed that the league is in favour of 82 games, they are just watching the debate to see which scoring system we go with.Bruyns wroteCOLONAfter all this I just hope the CC implements what the league wants since it would be disappointing to not at least try an expanded schedule next season and see how it goes.
Points or WLT.

Re: VOTE
salary retention is very possible to do and I can see us implementing it in the next couple seasons. there's no way to do free agency fairly since we have no way to really simulate a player's decision which can include many factors such as contract length, money/taxes, team competitiveness, location, and others. i assume you're just saying this because you're against WLT though and don't really mean it.KapG wroteCOLONWell, if we gonna mimick it, may as well do it properly right? So retention, free agency and buyouts please.LeanMachine wroteCOLONWould like to read a good argument why would should do this. Pretty sure Kyle just tossed this idea out as we were discussing mimicking NHL.Lee wroteCOLONSalary retention and free agency, please. Would also like the ability to drop a contracted player in season as well.KapG wroteCOLONBut we don't need to mimic the NHL to a T.
If we are, I'd like free agency and buyouts available to us as well as salary retention please.
Re: VOTE
I don't think that's an issue: we already compile our standings anyway.. the difference from pasting fantrax numbers or writing fantrax numbers after adding 5 or 10 pts per matchup doesn't seem relevant. And yes, if it is deemed too complicated by others I will do that myself.LeanMachine wroteCOLONFantrax does not support the points + W-L-T format (hybrid), so whoever is wanting this idea should also be volunteering to compile the data on a weekly basis and display weekly results for us to view.

very possible? seems like a nightmare to me, something that would bring more problems than benefits.Arian The Insider wroteCOLONsalary retention is very possible to do..
I certainly want nothing to do with that personally and expect those advocating for salary retention to fully take charge in managing & controlling that aspect in the unfortunate case we are going down that route.

As the person who brought it up today, I was fully joking and understand how big a headache it would be.kyuss wroteCOLONvery possible? seems like a nightmare to me, something that would bring more problems than benefits.Arian The Insider wroteCOLONsalary retention is very possible to do..

In the hybrid scoring scenario, Fantrax scoring will display "irrelevant" standings as it will not be able to automate the 0-5-10 pt bonus. We would be relying upon you, or whoever decides to weekly compile and display the results.
Manual standings generation also opens up the possibility to user errors. Standings will have to be reviewed more closely for accuracy.
Re: VOTE
Good lord. So like half of the people who have already done their rankings have now changed their minds? And we have a new hybrid option(seems messy) to include? This will be a nightmare to count now.
Should We start a new poll, or do u guys want to edit your selections, or can the cc just view this thread and make their own decisions without me tallying up all the votes?

and despite my clear opinion towards WTL, we've all noted that the status quo is doing just fine as well.
Re: VOTE
I figured on the 82. So vote on the other 3 options? Or just let cc view and decide?

late to this shin-dig. .. 82 and hybrid.

Such a change from when I went to bed last night.Nick wroteCOLONand despite my clear opinion towards WTL, we've all noted that the status quo is doing just fine as well.
I was thinking implementing 2 large changes at once (gp + scoring system) would be pretty drastic. I think 82 games, with the current scoring system, and If that doesn't work very well, then go to WLT/Hybrid later on.
There is a greater chance of being more unhappy people after 2 drastic changes at once than if we make 1 change, then work out the kinks, and then make another change if it is needed, or if it becomes apparent that it will improve the league.

I agree with matthew.
One change this year and we revisit the WLT in a year or 2

I like that idea all well. One drastic change this year, make sure we like it then look into a second change after next year. 82 game schedule seems pretty unanimous here.
