ecigs and quitting smoking

Post by KapG »

Soooo, I know mike had lots of great things to say about these ecigs and how they helped him quit his nasty habit. Just picked up a starter kit myself and I am very excited to see how this goes!

Anyone else besides mike used these?

Fwiw i was a 2-3 pack a week smoker since about 20ish and I'm now 29.

Good luck. It's a bad habit but I'm sure it's much harder to shake off than some people think, once you get into it. E-Cigs are a good start. Update this thread in the future.

yup. support is one way to beat this. every time you feel the urge, come to fantasy hockey and distract yourself by making a trade or something ;)

I also wish you good luck in your effort to quit.

I was a pack a day smoker for 15 years (18-33) and quit cold turkey (at my wife's urging) (scotch mints my only crutch).

I enjoy smoking cigarettes but don't need to be doing that to my lungs any longer so its tough lol. I work with lots of smokers too so I'm around it all the time.

Nice buddy! Kind of crazy how both kyles just did this at literally the same time lol.

I got the kanger evod 2.0 starter kit. Double apple and white freezie flavours for the juice

Oh man, i started with the kangertech evod. the penlike ones? They are kind of cheap and i failed at quitting with them. The wicks fail fast and it is hard to get a good draw off them after a couple hours. Once you do a dry hit the wick is ruined. That is why i researched like crazy before moving to what i showed in the vids above. Girl here at work is die hard and her husband enters"vape competitions" people are crazy. I'll report back on what this setup is like, but the need to have variable voltage and variable wattage is super important. I think i had an evod knockoff tbh. There is a way to tell. And after reading the link i am posting i know i had a clone. It is gurgling now after minimal use.

Yah its the one that looks like a pen. My buddy got the same one ingot from thr same store a couple of weeks ago and he hasn't had any issues as of yet.

How much did you drop on yours? I spent about 100$ for starter pack and the two things of juice. Didn't have much more than that to spend. I know there is some crazy shit you can buy...

Edit: I checked out that link Kyle and from the looks of it I have a legit one.

I'll perhaps move onto more advanced technology as I save up the money I would have otherwise spent on smokes.

I'm not trying to be a dink man but if you can, return them while you still have 30 day warranty. It will be the best advice you have received about them. I am guessing you paid say ~60 bucks for the kit? I just paid 80 for the eLeaf battery and Nautilus tank by aspire. You dont have to listen to me but i just want you to have the best experience for the money and learn from my mistakes. I am anal and research everything to death before making any purchases. that is one time i didnt and trusted the clerk saying this is a good starter for a smoker. Might have been if it wasnt a clone ffs. anyways, I hope i didnt offend you and just wanted to give you a heads up.
