I don't think Toronto finishes lower than 27th. Carolina is on the way up from the looks of it and the Leafs are 10 points up on Arizona/Edmonton with a dozen games left. You pretty much need to go 0-for to make it happen but even the worst teams run into a win here and there.

ya i think it's impossible for the leafs to finish top 2. Buffalo and Edmonton have sucked all year, the leafs have had their ups and downs.

Not touchy, just tired of it. I refuse to watch TSN or sportsnet anymore in the mornings because everything is so negative; it's impossible to read any sports article about the leafs because it's 'pointing fingers at leaf players, fans, GMs, Shanny, etc..."

Then you have the rest of the leagues fans putting all leaf fans together in one bubble. Or pointing out negative crap, i believe you were the one who asked the league to stop using the word 'rape' because you didn't approve of it, then you go on and complain about every leaf fan, and leaf this, leaf that. I dont understand why it's so hard for other teams fans just to enjoy their sucess, heck if i was a sens fan i'd be glued to the TV for every game and enjoying this run, they've been playing some great hockey.

The only thing i can watch, read and listen to for hockey these days is NHL.com. I watch all my games and highlights on there, they seem to be a bunch of americans who talk about the leafs like every other crappy team. They dont really get into "whats going on and what's going to happen, etc..., trade everyone, all their fans suck, etc..."

I'm just tired of the media circus that follows the leafs, i wish i wasn't so invested (time and money) into that team. I actually enjoy that they plan to rebuild that team, but the media is going to make it a very difficult 3-5 years that i wont be able to watch leaf games for at least that long.

How do you think the rest of Canada feels? Toronto doesnt even make the playoffs and we have to hear about them on our sports stations day and night rather than the playoff teams. Sheesh!

it's seriously the media that ruins it for me. The rest of Canada can get over it, i love MLB and all i hear is Yanks, Yanks, Yanks or Red Soxs,,,i personally hate the yanks but i dont run around bashing their fans, their team and the media. Hockey has become petty in Canadian cities, almost childish - to the point you have people attacking entire fanbases over "starting riots in BC" - not every nucks fan is going to go light a car on fire, just like every leaf fan doesn't think Dion is going to be traded for Tatar + ten 1st round picks.

Turn the chanel, i do when they talk about the leafs these days.

and what i meant above is - the media tears apart every aspect of the leafs (their team, fans, everything) - then that carries over to fans of other teams who just decide to bash leaf fans, etc....

dont get me wrong, there are leaf fans who are childish, and we all at some point bash another team, but when your focal point is to live and breath bashing the leafs, the nucks, or the habs it gets to the point where it takes away from the game itself.

it's quite simple really. the leafs are the most popular team in hockey so it's natural they would have the most fans and the most haters. i just find it funny when we're still the home team in ottawa that's all
