the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
He's had more than 4 goalie starts a LOT this year.
He had 6 starts the final week of the season in which I was eliminated by 1 point. So.. We have ignored this all season long it seems.

Am I the only one who seems to remember that at some point we kept that limit for the playoffs only?

Seems like a lot to manage goalie starts thru an entire seasons

Doesn't make much sense especially considering y'all made a rule that you had to dress ur best lineups for anti-tanking purposes solightupdadarkness wroteCOLONSeems like a lot to manage goalie starts thru an entire seasons
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
I read somewhere that 4 goalie starts was for the playoffs. I started both my goalies during the regular season once based upon the reading of said rule.
You can't say that monk was forced to start a starter on the worst team in the league, so he HAD to start both goalies. That's his asset. If he wanted a legit starter then he could have gone and acquired one.
As much as I want an upset I think the rules should be followed. If monk ends up winning the cup after this an asterisks would need to be put beside the win, IMO. This should have been resolved the first day when it was noticed.

I noticed it before roster lock and mentioned this so it could be resolved and we could habe completely avoided this mess.
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
I'm not saying it is your fault, because it absolutely is not, but you kept saying you didn't care whether he went over, which I think made the line for whether someone should step in a little blurry. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONI noticed it before roster lock and mentioned this so it could be resolved and we could habe completely avoided this mess.

Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
I think the reasoning was that in RS we already have the 82gp limit anyway, whereas we don't in PO. But again, I couldn't find where that was said, if it was indeed.Shep wroteCOLONI don't remember tbh
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
4-5-2 : No team can exceed four (4) goalie starts in a playoff matchup. If four (4) goalie starts are exceeded the goalies total stats for the matchup will be eliminated.

Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
Someone sent me a pm (whom im wont mention) and said that if I had started 2 goalies it would have been noticed amd called out right away. I also would have been forced to void all my games.Matthew wroteCOLONI'm not saying it is your fault, because it absolutely is not, but you kept saying you didn't care whether he went over, which I think made the line for whether someone should step in a little blurry. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONI noticed it before roster lock and mentioned this so it could be resolved and we could habe completely avoided this mess.
This person also said that if someone gets away with this it will open the door in future years for other guys to go over and use this example to get away with it.
as for winning this week, I hope I lose even after the ruling this week. I have lost all desire to aet my lineup and watch hockey in general this season. The bbkl for me has become more of a social site than fantasy site.
I just want what ever ruling comes down to be set in stone for every team.

And no, this is exactly what we have been talking about.Matthew wroteCOLONI found the 4 playoff start bit in the CBA under roster management.
4-5-2 : No team can exceed four (4) goalie starts in a playoff matchup. If four (4) goalie starts are exceeded the goalies total stats for the matchup will be eliminated.
It doesn't say anything about single period max goalie starts for the regular season.
...I assume you guys are talking about something else tho. So ignore this.
Nice find.

frankly, I think anyone would have done the same thing Luke did.Matthew wroteCOLONI read somewhere that 4 goalie starts was for the playoffs. I started both my goalies during the regular season once based upon the reading of said rule.

Who would have hurt his own chances by worrying about a hypotetical case and a hypotetical rule that was never applied before during the rest of the season?
What's going on right now confirms there was no clarity on this whatsoever.
To decide to simply follow the rules we would need to know what the rules are in the first place....
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
^i wouldn't have.
I think the rule as written in the CBA is fairly clear, tbh. Luke took a risk, I assume knowingly given he is a long time member.
At first I wanted his first 4 games to count, and omit the others, but I now think the rules should be followed and the rule can be modified in the offseason.
We should ask Luke. I assume he is a reasonable individual, and wouldn't want to win in this manner.

whatever is said in the CBA unfortunately doesn't mean that's our current rule. There have been numerous examples of that. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONAnd no, this is exactly what we have been talking about.Matthew wroteCOLONI found the 4 playoff start bit in the CBA under roster management.

However what you quoted suggests there was indeed a difference in the regulation on RS and PO.
hopefully the other 3 CC members will show up soon.
Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
in case you guys didn't realize yet (even if it was told to you when you entered the league), the CBA you are quoting is not the depository of our current rules.Matthew wroteCOLON^i wouldn't have.

and lol, who knows what was Luke thinking... not sure how being a long time member should make him know what exactly are rules that not even admins (shep) and CC member (me) are sure about.Luke took a risk, I assume knowingly given he is a long time member.

Lol. The only reason I even care is because if I had started 2 starting goalies mik would have posted that CBA link above and been fighting for me to void all 4 of my starts. I would almost guarantee this is a personal thing rather than what he actually thinks.

Re: the WPG goalies case (4gp limitation)
that's an interesting proposition, considering my personal stance would be to take away Lehto's SO (and..) whereas for example shep (who was your lighter when you took fire after having wrong cap hits on your roster, don't know who is this time around) suggested Luke's G stats should be fine as they were in RS.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONLol. Btw, no one brought up this subject when teams went over 4 in RS. Who was that brought up this argument now?
and the reason you did is.. me?
