At first I was thinking he should hold lazar rather than trade him for a guy who will be 30 next year and only scored 40 something points this season, cuz lazar could put up 40 next year. But the more I think about it, if stastny came out and played a full yr next yr he could put up 60-75 points, and then darkness could trade him for 2 lazars. And lazar is still a risk at this point. Worst case stastny doesn't kill it next yr and darkness could still trade him for another good young player.

You should be all over that and locking it in with steve, darkness. Fraser is right. I don't think you will get a better offer at all for lazar. Lazar could end up as a 35-40 point player. Think about it...I got approx. 2 20th overalls for ribeiro...and stastny is worth more than ribby, yet he is just asking for lazar.

Sometimes you need to respect a great offer. And lazar isn't mcdavid: there won't be infinite interest.

Statsny is worth way more than Ribby and you pretty much raped that Ribby deal. And I wouldn't be so sure about him not getting an as goof or better offer .

I could have, I could not have never know. Can't be making too many deals with Drknes people will start thinking we are butt buddies. Stastny is worth wayyyy more in this league than Ribby is. Can't see many if any disagreeing with that.

Similar players... Be interested to see how much Ribeiro makes this offseason (probably gonna get 4-5M). I like Stastny better, especially now that he's getting the SHTOI mins. He wasnt getting them when I had him. Why I went for Bonino.

Ribeiro will likely continue to have more offense than Stastny.
Stastny will have solid offense and hopefully continue to have solid SHTOI.
Bonino will have less offense and best peripherals.

Kind of like they are 3 similar overall BBKL producers on a spectrum... varying ages and salary of course. I'm happiest with bonino given his youth/salary/production, but Stastny is definitely the best player - whether or not the STL system allows him to maximize his skill set remains to be seen. He's only played 10 games less than ribeiro.
