it's a weird situation.

I mean, I'm coming off a week with 16 STP (more than thrice TOR's) and 158 FW, with Malkin & Dats missing most of the games, and now that they are back and the Detroit C's are finally delivering, I'm losing exactly the stats that moving into the final week were supposed to be my strength: A, STP, FW (Zett moved to W).

Basically, my defense has completely stopped producing all of a sudden, which explains the lack of A and STP on top of BS (looks like after making the playoffs Josi doesn't feel like blocking shots anymore)

On top of that, despite leading goals 12-7 I'm down in GWG because of two own goals by defensemen: this time it's this Helgeson guy putting TJ's pass into his own net. Frustrating.

On the other hand, so far I'm winning the G stats I was reasonably supposed to lose, and Pens and Detroit have been forced to dress their best lineup (i.e. Dats & Geno) thx to the Sens (FU Bruins).

Kind of all expectations reversed lol.
Speaking of expectations though, Jaskin did something after all (even if not Eaves' GWG).


Still feels like I'll need to get back a couple of A,STP, GWG to end up on top of this.

No one is playing for Mike tonight.

Its just one of those days where you hope one of your guys loses it and ends up getting a game misconduct.

So Bob did secure the Wins for me, but the two centers combined for -5 falling down in that stat (and were bad in the faceoff circle), so I managed to worsen the score even if Mike didn't have anyone playing. Key opportunity wasted.

Still don't know if it will be Bob or Mc (seems more probable to me) on the road again the Isles, but that's a worrisome game, and there are rumours of Zett and Dats resting tonight. Zucc will be a game time decision apparently.

So, it's looking better for Mike, but if somehow I manage to keep GAA and SV%, then I'd only need to win A and +/- (or GWG, or PIM, STP), so it's still very possible to finish on top.

In any case, it's been a great run, and if I miss out Mike would certainly be a very deserving winner, after getting close in the past already.

Hopefully this will be a nice last day, I will only be able to follow afternoon games as tomorrow I'll have to get up early.. I just hope for guys to play!

Frustrating not to be able to pay as much attention to this weekend's hockey as I'd like. At a trade show all day yesterday and today. Might be able to catch a couple third periods.

Karlsson and Zucc did nothing, Josi won't play, at least one out of Dats and Zett won't play.

So, STP are very probably gone, as Burns added a PPG as well.


The good news are Gryba and Glencross didn't add any PIM to the current gap, Backes is scratched and Quick already allowed 1 goal to the Sharks.

I've been looking through each teams stats for the playoffs, and unless another player has a huge monstrous game tonight...the conn smythe should be goin to benn on Toronto, and plekanec on Nashville. Does this league have a conn smythe, or vote on it, or anything?

not sure we did it in the past, and if/when we did.. we have not kept any record for that I think.


Anyway, it's probably going to be Benn.. stupid Sharks need to score at least a goal in this 3rd period
