DAL-TOR
Re: DAL-TOR
Seems like some jealousy and hurt feelings in here. It's a good deal for both teams. That said, good luck dealing with Mike's team out East lol!

Yes I tried to send him far away as possible
Re: DAL-TOR
Like this for Will. Yakupov is getting underrated here. The Mcdavid bump will have an impact on the top guys in Edmonton whether they play with him or not. So many highly offesnive guys to match up against in Edmonton now. Yakupov could either get a boost by playing with McD or by dodging the teams best defense and checkers, either way scoring goals just got easier for Nail.

Yakupov: 60 point potential, 200 shots, 15 stp, 100 hitsFraser wroteCOLONLike this for Will. Yakupov is getting underrated here. Krug: 50 points potential, 200 shots, 15 stp, 70 hits, 70 blocks
Poirier & Bigras likely bring good periphs with 40-50 point potential, and poirier will play with 1 of bennett or monahan
ho-sang? who knows. it could be a few years before he ever makes the NHL.
16thoa, 18oa....these could be equivalent to something like pastrnak, ritchie
Carolinas 1st next year could actually be quite good, especially if paul trades kesler for futures.
Really, the only thing Will is in danger of losing big time is FOW, imo. I would have prefered he grab the OTT 1st in 2016, but it is hard to argue with 8 pieces. if you look at his lineup now, he could even make the playoffs next year or the year after if his young players take a big step forward. at the beginning of the season, i dont think anyone would have thought this dallas team would be able to manage that anytime soon.
Dal Colle - Barkov - Teravainen
Poirier - Lazar - Yakupov
Ho Sang - Gauthier - Bennett
Jackman - Fabbri - Boll
Hamilton - Lindholm
Kulikov - Krug
Bigras - Nikitin
Klefbom - Pouliot
Gilbert - Gonchar
parayko
Miller
Lack
Markkstrom
Jon Gillies

Re: DAL-TOR
poor darkness. But honestly, if a few guys like barkov/yakupov/his defensemen break out, i think his team is better than my team this year, and i only finished like 20 points out of the playoffs in the weak west.

And I don't understand why you would trade McDavid before giving all GMs the chance to offer for him.
Anyway, his loss

The weak west. Worst western ever.

Yakupov has been a bust of a 1st overall so farlightupdadarkness wroteCOLONTo TOR:

Torey Krug
Joshua Ho-Sang
Emile Poirier
Chris Bigras
Krug.. #4D?
Ho Sang.. an idiot who is a longshot to make it on a regular basis
Poirier.. don't know him enough but doesn't exactly strike me as a great player
Bigras..failed to make team Canada again
+ average picks.
So it seems to me LUTD managed to likely not get a single top player out of McDavid, which is an amazing feat considering everyone wanted him, especially stacked contenders.
Basically traded him for Mike's leftovers. For him probably one of the easiest deals he has made.

Re: DAL-TOR
But lets be real here. Do we really know how big of a contributor McDavid is going to be? His name carries so much more than his actual worth at this point, and I would say especially in the BBKL. Besides scoring categories do we know what this guy is going to provide? Will he consistently kill penalties? Will be be an above average hitter/blocker for a centerman? Sure elite scorers are valuable, there is no doubting that. But if thats all he does in the BBKL there will always be centers ahead of him in league value, even if he reaches his potential becomes the leagues most prolific scorer.
Personally I like Eichel as a BBKler more than McDavid. Thats just me, but I know I'm not alone there.

Re: DAL-TOR
Darkness wasnt exactly in a position to get 3 assets in exchange for McDavid. He needed to gain enough depth to even be able to field a team. And Yakupov was on pace for 30 goals in his rookie season at 18, so yeah, the talent is in there somewhere, and this year he may be on McDavids wing, so that could cancel out a lot of McDavids production. Krug may be a 4th dman, but he has played 2 seasons and achieved 40 points both times; plus he shoots a ton, and puts up stp, and decent hits/blocks. There is no reason his production wont rise a bit either. Were you really going to offer him 8 young pieces mik? I find that hard to believe.
I do think he should have attempted to get the Ott pick, but this restocks his entire team.

Re: DAL-TOR
exactly. How much more could Crosby get than those 8 pieces? And we dont even know if McDavid will be the best player in the league at this point. He could end up at a Seguin level...and could seguin command the equivalent of what is probably more value than 8 first round picks?Fraser wroteCOLONBut lets be real here. point is, me and others would have offered probably less than 8 but with something great inside

and the thing is not about LUTD worsening his lineup/roster, it's about not improving it as much as he could have

Or the offer you purposed to me this morning about Goalies? Or how you acted like adding a 4th round pick to the like one deal we've done was life or death? Save yourself the troubleplz. Thank you for your input on that matter tho kindly and good day sir.kyuss wroteCOLONand the thing is not about LUTD worsening his lineup/roster, it's about not improving it as much as he could have
