Sure he wasn't playing baseball?!
Also - stretchered for a broken rib? What a bitch... wonder if he had a pneumothorax too, cause that would explain it.
Also - had no idea he is 34... dude is getting old.

Jeez, not gonna be good in here:

A major loss on the Canadian TV deal for 2014-2015 will have an impact on the salary cap, currently $69-million (U.S.) per team this season. The cap is based on the league’s total hockey-related revenue (HRR), so it’s difficult to estimate the specific effect of the Rogers deal, but based on the league’s own calculations, it could result in a $1.3-million (U.S.) drop per team in the cap for next season.
That is less than a 2-per-cent drop, but it makes a big difference to teams operating close to the cap. For example, last October, Peter Chiarelli, then the general manager of the Boston Bruins, traded defenceman Johnny Boychuk and his $3.37-million salary for draft picks on the eve of the season to create some much-needed cap flexibility. The loss of the veteran top-four defenceman weakened the Bruins, who just missed the playoffs, and Chiarelli was dismissed last week.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Had a deal real close a week or so ago that would have made me a cap team. Thank god it didn't happen.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
If the cap doesn't go up much or drops, it's going to really hurt the free agents.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Glad I dropped Kane (10.5m) now if the cap does go down. I assume it would be even harder to trade him if this is the case. And I tried. A lot.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
ya, mctavish is a joke, that franchise is doing something right for a change. They have a pretty rich ($) fanbase who gave up, this should help
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
He will do wonders there. Players will need to buy into his system or theyll be moved out as evidence by Seguin.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
not exactly the best evidence to suggest he will do wonders there
