I dont have time for that kind of bs. Just hit me with a good offer so it can be done with. The countering of bad offers gets tiring.

Shivs offers have all been reasonable to me so far. Nothing close enough to get done, but not too bad.

So much yes. Hate arguing about value for 3 hours only to have the other party admit yeah it was bad/ a rape attempt from the begining now here's something more reasonable. Not directed at Shiv btw, usually we have good, quick talks.

It's funny. I actually believe this too but when you actually get to talking to people, there is so much positioning and posturing and haggling and bargaining that happens that I call BS on anyone actually feeling this way.

Negotiations are the name of the game and everyone is playing it. I just wish people would come right out and say it instead of pretending like they're made of pure ivory.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one in the league who doesn't play those games.

Its not that no one tries to get the best of every deal, but some start so far apart that the process of even countering doesn't make sense. Being asked for Laughton+Ehlers+Ritchie+ for a bottom line forward for example is not a good way to start talks if you want me to come back with a reasonable counter. Asking for Laughton for a forward at least is something to work with, though I'd still reject it most likely. It's being able to demonstrate you are trying to make something happen that benefits both sides that needs to occur, otherwise its a waste of time like KapG said.

Feel the same about myself. I suppose you guys would be better evaluators of that than me. But I feel my offers are fairly straight to the point. Try for the hail marry pass every now and again, but I have thrown out offers I was sceptical about that were accepted.

I'll posture sometimes but more often than not I try not to fuck around unless its regarding minor things like mid/late picks.

It's also mostly perception problem as well. I can mostly tell that the opposing gm offer to be either genuine but the guy has no clue how much I value the said inquired player hence making it seem rape to me, or just straight fuck around don't care type offers

It's almost like different people value different players differently.
