i think Rinne is in the same group as Rask, Price, Lundy. I would put Varlamov in the 2nd tier

i actually think they are the best 2 goalies in the NHL

although varlamov is good, he's not getting the love he deserves in this thread. I think guys like Lu, Crawford and Miller are in the 3rd tier of goalies

67-21-5 is amazing, but the Ducks are good. Still has to prove more in the NHL, but in the BBKL at 1.15M and Gibson at 894K there is no goalie system I'd trade them for.

Rask is the only guy who you could perhaps add. Rest are tier 2 (which contains many elite goalies...but there's really only 2-3 god tier)

Holtby is definitely being forgotten here, but I realize he has to do it for a longer time period... Varlamov actually has to do a bit more to be near Rinne though too... Varlamov is in a tier below that. He may bring it up this next season though

Even Strength S% ... Rinne second overall past year (in goalies in this convo ... no one is saying Dubnyk or Mason haha), Varla is WAAAY down that list. I believe that ESS% is one of the accepted stats that roughly quantify goalie skill.
Rinne at 0.9366 vs Varla at 0.9175 /... right with Andersen in ANA and Ramo ... for the last year

WhT are varlamovs numbers like since he was a starter? His numbers in Washington were not as good as they've been since he got traded.

You're not. People vastly overrate how good Price is. That said, he is still a top 10 goalie.

Add Rinne to those guys and i agree.

People forget how bad the preds were without Rinne and how good with Rinne (lottery team without, top team with). That guy is the Price of the habs.

Lundy is a world class goalie, but i believe that Rangers would still be a very strong team without him. That said, my order goes:

Price
Rinne
Lundy
Rask

Those are the 4 who seperate themselves from the rest of the pack IMO.
