Ya I like the waiver draft. I'm fine with 1 round, and then 1 pick q24hrs like we have it... Just maybe rather than everyone creating their own 24 timeframe by signing at different times, make it a set time that is OK for everyone... probably 12 noon is the fairest given we have west coasters and europeans, and you can draft 1 player within the 24 hour time frame.

ORRRRR, have 1 person who is the waiver draft coordinator. You submit your waiver claim q24hr privately. The coordinator then awards the players based on draft order (i.e. if multiple claims on a player the lower placed teams will get the claim and if no one else claims said person then he's yours). This gives benefit to the lower ranked teams and keeps teams from poaching players from others after they see a claim.

Thoughts? I think this is a great solution.

To be honest, I think this should be applied to in-season waiver claims as well. All claims should go to one person (the "Claim Guru") within the alotted time frame and then be awarded afterwards. I bet some of the players who were claimed multiply this year was only because, a GM with a lower ranking saw another team liked the player and wanted to block it, even if it didn't make sense for the team.

Kinda puts the Claim Guru in a tough spot if he's interested in claiming a player no?

True. You'd need a second guy on the claim guru team to confirm submission disputes and allow the claim guru to claim

Open claims are better for the league.

Just curious what the argument for retaining the open claims is?

Lol well that's bullshit. We're improving the schedule this year... Was it really broken?

More than fine with keeping things the way they are if there is more than a "fuck you, this is the way it is so deal with it" response.

And aside from overall claims, what are thoughts on the suggestion for 2nd round of waiver draft?

One round is enough...the past has dictated that. I wouldn't be against waivers determining free agent claims though.

I think improving the schedule was more of a way to ease pressure on Nick, who is no longer in the CC. It also gives a more accurate representation of how good a team is.

Honestly, it may be the best route. It doesn't have to be the whole season, but it would kill the crunch at 12 noon. Tracking would be my biggest concern.

Yes I 100% agree that it improves our league... Case in my point my feeling on the proposal I suggested

Happy to take on the tracking responsibilities if we decide to go that route

Lol dude shut the fuck up
I'm never against improving the league.
But there is a difference btwn improving and overhauling, and it to me feels like the latter
I'm observant as fuck bro. I kno for a fact u were one of the leaders engaging in number of random free agency pickups during last season. Thats just how u run ur roster.

Not to say it is for that very reason only, that u wanna change shit regarding Waiver pick up but cmon bro it stenches of obvious desire for ur effort to change this particular shit directly proportional to ur level of activity in that very field in general to maximize ur own results to be able to utilize the system as well as wanting to improve the league function.

Ppl like me don't give a fuck about free agency pickup maybe make one or two a year at most. Can't u see a lot of us honestly don't see the need for drastic Waiver policy changes? . How's that for
common ground consensus.

I want to point out that the CC has its hands full with a myriad of other issues atm:

- vacant team
- absent gm
- cliff
- entry draft to run
- vacant/absent gm teams with entry picks
- implementing new scheduling

Making drastic changes to the waiver draft is not on the docket at this time. Maybe later after we clean some of the above up.

100% agree... no rush on this at all. The topic came up so I provided my solution.
