For all of you Rick Nash lovers
Per Bob McKenzie via Nichols on Hockey

“And I just floated it out there (on Thursday’s Insider Trading, yet to air as of his radio hit) that I would not be surprised if they at least had to consider the notion of what would Rick Nash would fetch in a trade. He’s got a $7.9 million cap hit. He’s got three years left on his deal. Those are never easy trades to make. And for the same reason that the Rangers might want to get cap space, you’re also potentially giving up a 42-goal scorer.
Quote:
Not saying that it’ll happen. But saying that I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that it will get discussed.
“It’s interesting and a point of order on Nash himself is he has a full no-move clause right now. So he’s in the driver’s seat. Except the full no-move clause expires on June 30 this year. On July 1, he’s now subject to a modified no-trade where I believe there’s 10-12 teams that he has approved or will approve to go to.
“So it does give the Rangers a lot more flexibility after June 30, if they decide that that’s something they want to pursue.”

Yep it's official. Sad to see my Greyhounds lose their coach, but glad it is to the Marlies.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Yep, we had him here in Pembroke, with great success.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
So are the marlies going to run an identical system to that which Babcock is going to employ? I've heard whispers of this being the case and think it would really help our younger guys when they transition up to the big club.

Both coaches are big on puck possession so it's a possibility
